The congregation was filled for our annual MLK Celebration featuring the Wilson HS Choir under the direction of Lori Williams, The Boys and Girls Club of DC TAP Camp under the direction of Tony Small and The Washinton Revel Jubilee Voices. They joined the Temples Adult, youth and teen choirs for an unforgettable night of music and fellowship. Here is Wilson HS singing Lisa's new song Grant Peace, written for the choir.

Yoga Shalom Book/CD/DVD was launched at the recent URJ Biennial in Washington D.C. and sold out in two days! The workshops on Wednesday and Sunday were full and many books were signed at the book signing. Soulful Shabbat Ruach Release
Lisa is proud to announce the release of her newest CD Soulful Shabbat Ruach, 12 contemporary worship songs for synagogue choirs and band. The service will be presented this Friday night at 7:30 p.m.Temple Shalom in Chevy Chase, MD featuring all the choirs who recorded the CD: Shir Shalom, Ruach Teen and TSYouth Choirs as well as the Washington Revel Jubilee Voices who also recorded on the CD. Our special guests who also contributed tracks for the CD are Dave Nachmanoff, guitars and accordion, Scott Leader, the creative and talented producer of the CD as well as members of the Shabbat Ruach Band. Yoga Shalom DVD Taping at Judea Reform
Spiritual and exhausting are the words to describe the experience of taping the DVD of Yoga Shalom, to be published along with the book in September 2011. The surroundings were beautiful in the sanctuary of Judea Reform in Durham, NC. Lisa and Carol had superb help both in the crew and the participants. Many thanks to everyone who made the days rehearsing and filming SO life changing. We know you will enjoy the results and we look forward to sharing Yoga Shalom with all of you!
A Welcome Home from Beth El Bakersfield
Who says you can't go home again? Lisa had a great welcome home to her home town congregation Temple Beth El in Bakersfield during Shabbat Services Friday night and Sunday school with the students. Thank you Rabbi Cheryl Rosenstein and everyone who made the weekend such a sweet experience and warm return. It felt great to be home.

Soulful Shabbat Ruach Studio Time
Lisa took all of her choirs into Airshow studios last week to record tracks for Soulful Shabbat Ruach. It was super fun to watch the adults, teens and kids experience recording for the first time. The CD of 12 of Lisa's songs for band and choirs will debut in May. Watch for details.
Wonderful TBTikvah, Wayne NJ
Many thanks to the community of Temple Beth Tikvah in Wayne NJ, Cantor Charles Romalis, Rabbi Stephen Wylen, Janet Sosinski accompanist and Janet Shapiro, event chair and everyone else who made Lisa's weekend as Artist-in-Residence so special. From "Soulful Shabbat Ruach" Friday Night with the the TBT Choirs, Matthew and Andrew youth soloists, to "Yoga Shalom" Shabbat morning and onto the home concert "My Songs for the Jews of Cuba" all of the programs were well attended and well received despite the weather. Sending heartfelt appreciation to everyone who made it so wonderful!

Thanks to Lori Williams and the Wilson Sr. High School Choir and Tony Small and Kids Lead for once again joining forces with our choirs and bands for an unforgettable evening of music and fellowship. D.C. Jewish Youth Choir "Festival of Freedom"
Last Sunday the Washington Area Cantors and Music Directors brought the community together in song with our annual Washington Jewish Youth Choir Festival. Temple Shalom hosted the event for eight choirs who presented a very enjoyable afternoon of music and fellowship. The TSY Choir under Lisa's direction, sang her two songs: L'dor Vador and Rock of Ages.
Mega Weekend at Temple Shalom
The sanctuary was filled for two amazing programs over the weekend. Soulful Shabbat Ruach featuring Shir Shalom and the Shabbat Ruach Band kicked off the weekend followed by The Cantor's Showcase on Sunday afternoon. The Broadway review starred Cantor Jacqueline Shuchat-Marx and Josh Milton as well as members of the Ruach Teen and TSYouth Choirs. A standing "O" says it all as the tour-de-force of talented young people in the congregation blew everyone away.
Yoga Shalom at WRJ Regional Biennial
Lisa received a warm welcome this past weekend at the WRJ Regional Biennial in Tyson's Corner, VA. The room was filled to capacity for a renewing hour and fifteen minutes of spiritual prayer. TBS San Juan Shabbat Shirah 2010
The Shabbat Shirah weekend at Temple Beth Shalom in San Juan Puerto Rico was delightful from beginning to end. Thank you Sue and Jimmy Klau, Rabbi Larry Rubinstein, Roz Ianneli and her children the Simcha Quartet, Emily Krasinski on piano and the welcome and warm hospitality from all. The TuBishvat concert at Moises and Trudys hacienda in the country was spectacular. Can't wait for next year's concert!
