Fun in Fort Lauderdale
It felt just like a Rachael Rae TV Set at the David Posnack Jewish Community Center in Davie, Florida where Lisa presented Yoga Shalom as part of the 25th Annual Book Fair! Many Thanks to Debbie Hochman and her fabulous co-chairs Monica Genet and Laurie Suskind who treated Lisa like a celebrity from start to finish. Because of the incredible set up for the day which included candles, couches, palm trees, open space and large screen with a convenient signing table, Yoga Shalom sold out! Author Andrea Lieber shared the morning with Lisa and it was a true spiritual awakening. Ladies, you sure know how to throw a book signing!

WRJ Mid Atlantic Conference Kudos
There is something about spending Shabbat morning with 80 beautiful women, gathered for prayer at the WRJ Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference in Wilmington DE that defies description. Warmth, love, support, inspiration and sisterhood infused our time together. From Shabbat morning services with intern Toba Straus and saying the Shema wrapped in our tallitot in support of Anat Hoffman and Women of the Wall to inspirational words by Rabbi Rex Perlmeter on embracing change, to an afternoon of Yoga Shalom relaxation, a great time was had by all!

Behold How Good/Hallelu was featured as a new release by Transcontinental Music Publications on the opening night, the choral arrangement by David Shukiar finally available! The new unpublished choral music concert featured Lisa's gospel anthem Grant Peace which appeared last on the program to rousing support! Finally Lisa's newest teaching song, Yotzeir Or, commissioned by Cantor Sally Neff formher 6th grade class, was selected to be presented in the new unpublished solo works. The highlight of the convention was the final night worship with the D.C area Cantors which featured music from Hava Nashira and Lisa's Bayom Hahu, published by Transcontinental Music, which was copied by permission of the publisher for everyone in attendance. Thanks to everyone for making the Convention so special and for all the support!
Marvelous Madison
The weather was stormy but the atmosphere warm and cosy in Madison WI this past weekend where Lisa presented "Cuba Revisited" with Cantor Debby Martin. The Temple Beth El Choir joined the duo as they sang and narrated their way through their recent Mission to Cuba. The evening was a rousing success thanks to Jackie Foreman on percussion, Marty Griffin on violin and Ted Reinkey on piano. Thanks to everyone who made the evening such as great success!
Adventures in Jewish Cuba
Lisa's fourth humanitarian Mission to Cuba with Temple Shalom of Chevy Chase and Bethesda Jewish Congregation under the leadership of Rabbi Sunny Schnitzer also included her colleagues Cantors Dana Anesi and Debra Martin and Sephardic song man Gerard Edery with Polish mezzo-soprano Malgorzata Panko. The highlights included a concert at the newly renovated Synagogue Sephardi in Havana, the city of Santi Spiritus and the distant city of Camaguay. Shabbat services Friday eve and Saturday morning in Santa Clara were magnificent and honored two upcoming Cuban B'nai Mitzvah students, providing the ultimate Jewish Cuban spiritual experience. Always an adventure, this trip proved to be particularly festive with Gerard Edery serenading the crowds wherever we went including Cienfuegos and Caibarrien, outlying communities. Many hundreds of pounds of humanitarian goods were delivered to each Jewish community and family, along with support and friendship. Visits to all the Jewish cemeteries and the Holocaust Memorial in Santa Clara where all the leaders were presented with copies of the newly minted documentary DVD of the project in which Lisa is featured, were distributed. It was an unforgettable mission where we connected with old friends, made new friends and ran into colleagues along the way. May we continue to support the Jews of Cuba through our tzedakah and humanitarian aid. They very much need everything we can give them.
