Yoga Shalom at M'kor Shalom
Lisa was invited to lead "Yoga Shalom" as part of Congregation M'kor Shalom's New Dimensions Shabbat Program. Over 75 participants enjoyed celebrating Shabbat together through yoga breathing, postures, flow, balance and relaxation to Lisa's specially recorded melodies and prayers.

Behold How Good at 5th Annual Novashir Concert
Lisa was the special guest artist at the 5th Annual Novashir concert this past Sunday May 20th at the Harris Theatre in Fairfax, VA. Carol Boyd Leon organized and conducted many of the choirs with Adrian Durlester on piano. Five groups from Washington area choirs participated in a most enjoyable afternoon of music. Many thanks to Rabbi Joel Levine of Temple Judea for his invitation for Shabbat Shira! Working with the Shirim Singers under the direction of Wendy Plotkin was a treat, joined by Michelle Auslander, Brian Davey, Dimitry Shaposhkikov and the 4th Grade Class, Friday's service was peppered with songs from Soulful Shabbat and readings for Tu Bishvat. The sermon in song featured a mini Jewish Gospel Experience.

1,000 Menorahs Give Meaning to Chanukah
This past Shabbat was filled with light from within and without. The Temple Oheb Shalom Youth and Teen choirs led the congregation in song and brought the power of Chanukah to members through prayer and ruach, spirit.

I taught your "Behold How Good" to the Martin
Luther King Community Choir for the MLK service we
had yesterday. They loved it!! One of the pastors from one of the local churches came up to me after the service to ask where he could get the music - he loved it that much.

It was a real kick to lead 100 voices in singing this song. Their faces, both black and white, Baptist, Unitarian, Jewish, and Catholic, were beautiful - they were so excited to sing it and did an incredible job.

Jospel: The Jewish Gospel Experience Concert
The word "Jospel" is the combination of the Jewish and Gospel styles of music. Over the past 18 years, Lisa's work with Interfaith, African American and Jewish choirs of all ages has inspired her to write music which melds these styles for use in community, Christian and Jewish worship settings.
